Coaching Quest
Write your coaching story through these 11 lessons and questsDefining The Destination 2
Welcome to the second lesson of this series and congratulations on completing your BHAG and exploring your values.
These are the keys that will unlock the doors to your successful future.
How do they do that?
Well, they are going to make your decision making process a whole lot easier as you navigate this adventure towards your goal.
We’re not quite finished with them yet though.
I want to make sure that you are super clear on what success looks like for YOU, because I see so many coaches get caught up in the “I’m only successful if I am making 6 figures trap”.
Looking back on your priority values from the previous quest, what does success really mean to you?
It’s time to get really honest and curious about what success means to you now, and what you might have been led to believe it means in the past.
You get to choose what success looks like for you. For some coaches, it will be running a 6 or 7 figure coaching practice with a team of coaches to support them. For other coaches, it will be having the freedom and flexibility to work from home and manage their own schedule. And for you, it could be something completely different.
You get to choose what success looks like for you.
Right now, I want you to consider what is most important to you from the Values work in Quest 1, along with your BHAG, as you move into Quest 2.
Are you ready for your next quest?
QUEST 2
Now we need to answer a few questions, some of which may have changed since the previous quest:
What did success mean when you were growing up?
What was your parents’ or grandparents’ or teachers’ definition of success?
What do I want to HAVE in my life?
What do I need to DO in order to have that?
How do I need to BE in order to do what needs to be done and have what I want? Another way to think about this is, ‘what is a really resourceful state for me to be in?’
– List what you need to START doing in order to become the person who will do what is necessary to achieve your BHAG
– List what you need to STOP doing in order to become the person who will do what is necessary to achieve your BHAG
– List what you need to CONTINUE doing in order to become the person who will do what is necessary to achieve your BHAG
